Industrial Machine Transport Frames for Safe and Controlled Relocation

Machine transport frames are custom steel structures used to move heavy machinery safely within a facility or to a new location. They support the machine weight, define lifting and handling points and help preserve equipment geometry during relocation.

Each system is engineered specifically according to machine dimensions, total weight, center of gravity, handling method, connection points and site conditions.

What Is a Machine Transport Frame?

A machine transport frame is a welded or modular steel supporting system used during lifting, handling, loading, shipment and repositioning of industrial machinery.

Depending on project requirements, the system may include:

  • Box-section, channel or I-beam supports
  • Plate and bent-sheet components
  • Machine mounting and fixing plates
  • Diagonal and horizontal reinforcements
  • Forklift pockets
  • Crane lifting lugs
  • Base plates and feet
  • Wheeled or skidded handling components
  • Anchoring and fixing details
  • Modular bolted connections

Advantages of Machine Transport Frames

Provide Safe Support During Handling

Carry machine weight and transport forces in a balanced manner.

Keep the Center of Gravity Under Control

Correctly positioned lifting and handling points reduce the risk of unbalanced loading.

Help Preserve Machine Geometry

Frame rigidity limits deformation around the machine body, shafts, bearings and sensitive equipment.

Facilitate Forklift and Crane Handling

Forklift pockets, lifting lugs and suitable connection points support controlled movement.

Help Reduce Relocation Time

Support planned loading, transport, unloading and reinstallation operations.

Offer Reusable and Modifiable Construction

The frame can be reinforced, extended or rearranged when machine layout or handling scenarios change.

Types of Machine Transport Frames

Fixed Transport Frames

Rigid systems used to lift and transport machinery as a single assembly.

Mobile Transport Frames

Can be moved within the facility using heavy-duty wheels, forklift pockets or skids.

Modular Transport Frames

Bolted and removable connections facilitate shipment and reinstallation.

Heavy-Duty Transport Frames

Manufactured with reinforced sections for presses, dies, hydraulic units and heavy equipment.

Precision Machine Transport Frames

Designed to preserve geometric accuracy in CNC, measurement, testing and automation systems.

Custom-Geometry Transport Frames

Developed specifically where standard solutions are insufficient for the machine, site or handling conditions.

Our Production Process

Each project is evaluated individually according to machine dimensions, handling scenario and site conditions.

1. Technical Data Analysis and Site Survey

Machine dimensions, total weight, center of gravity, connection points, transport route and site conditions are evaluated.

2. System Design

Frame geometry, profile sections, reinforcements, forklift pockets, lifting lugs and fixing details are determined. Technical drawings are prepared.

3. Cutting, Machining and Fabrication

Profiles and plates are cut, drilled, bent and machined according to project dimensions.

4. Fixturing, Welding and Inspection

Components are assembled in suitable fixtures. The welding sequence is planned to reduce deformation, and flatness, diagonals and connection centers are inspected.

5. Surface Treatment and Trial Inspection

Blasting, primer, electrostatic powder coating, wet paint or galvanizing is applied. Machine connections and lifting points are checked where required.

6. Shipment and Site Application

The frame is delivered, connected to the machine, lifted, transported, positioned, leveled and anchored where required.

Machine Transport Frame Modification and Reinforcement

Existing transport frames may develop cracks, weld damage, corrosion, deflection, loose connections or transport-related deformation over time. Increased machine weight or a change in handling method may also make the current system insufficient.

Following a technical inspection, the following works may be carried out:

  • Profile and diagonal reinforcement
  • Base and connection-plate renewal
  • Forklift-pocket modification
  • Addition or replacement of lifting lugs
  • Weld repair
  • Frame extension or dimensional modification
  • Modification of machine connection points
  • Addition of wheels or skids
  • Surface-coating renewal

Material and Surface Options

Material and surface treatment are selected according to load capacity, handling conditions and operating environment.

Carbon-Steel Profiles

Provide high strength and cost-effective production for general industrial handling applications.

Plate and Bent-Sheet Components

Used for mounting plates, gussets, base elements and special connections.

Stainless Steel

Can be considered for applications requiring hygiene, chemical resistance or high corrosion protection.

Electrostatic Powder Coating

Provides a durable surface for indoor use and can be matched to corporate colors.

Wet Paint and Industrial Coatings

Suitable for large components or projects requiring special chemical resistance.

Hot-Dip Galvanizing

Provides long-term protection in humid, outdoor or highly corrosive environments.

Why Nevas Çelik?

Projects are not limited to standard profile frames; they are prepared according to actual machine weight, transport route, lifting method and site conditions.

Site survey, design, steel fabrication, surface treatment and site application are managed within a single process. In addition to new production, reinforcement, dimensional modification and connection renewal of existing transport frames can also be carried out.
