Industrial Conveyor Systems for Continuous and Efficient Production Flow

Conveyor systems are industrial line solutions used to move materials, semi-finished products, cartons, pallets and finished goods between production, assembly, storage and dispatch areas. They reduce manual handling, organize process flow and support production continuity.

Each system is engineered specifically according to product weight, dimensions, base geometry, line speed, process sequence, operating environment and automation requirements.

What Is a Conveyor System?

A conveyor system is a mechanical handling system that moves products continuously or at controlled intervals along a defined route.

Depending on project requirements, the system may include:

  • Steel supporting frame
  • Belt, roller or chain conveying elements
  • Motor and gearbox group
  • Drums, sprockets and transmission elements
  • Bearings and bearing housings
  • Side guides and product-direction components
  • Sensors and automation components
  • Protective guards
  • Adjustable feet and anchoring elements
  • Modular connection parts

Advantages of Conveyor Systems

Organize Product Flow

Create continuous links between production machinery, assembly stations, storage areas and dispatch points.

Reduce Manual Handling

Support controlled product movement at defined speed and direction while reducing operator workload.

Balance Process Times

Help reduce waiting, accumulation and irregular feeding between workstations.

Support Product Safety

Provide controlled movement using belts, rollers, guides and stops suited to product geometry.

Integrate with Automation

Can work with sensors, separators, accumulation, counting and routing systems.

Offer a Modular and Expandable Structure

The system can be extended, accelerated or rearranged when production capacity or layout changes.

Types of Conveyor Systems

Belt Conveyors

Used for continuous movement of cartons, packages, components and products with different surface geometries.

Roller Conveyors

Provide controlled transfer of products, crates and pallets with flat and rigid bases.

Chain Conveyors

Preferred for heavy loads, pallets, fixtures and high-temperature applications.

Modular Belt Conveyors

Prepared with modular plastic or metal belts for hygiene, wash-down, turning and special-process requirements.

Pallet and Heavy-Load Conveyors

Manufactured with reinforced structures for pallets, crates, dies and heavy-equipment transfer.

Custom Transfer Conveyors

Developed for turning, lifting, accumulation, separation, direction changes and robotic feeding.

Key Design Considerations

  • Product dimensions and total weight
  • Base geometry and surface sensitivity
  • Line speed and cycle time
  • Load capacity and accumulation load
  • Belt, roller or chain selection
  • Motor and gearbox capacity
  • Line width and total length
  • Entry, exit and transfer elevations
  • Side-guide and stop requirements
  • Sensor and automation scenario
  • Maintenance and cleaning access
  • Corrosion and operating environment

Application Areas

  • Automotive and supplier industries
  • Metalworking facilities
  • Food and packaging production
  • Plastics and rubber industries
  • White-goods and electronics manufacturing
  • Warehouses and logistics centers
  • Robotics and automation lines
  • Assembly and testing stations
  • Pallet and crate transfer
  • Custom production and process lines

Our Production Process

Each project is evaluated individually according to product characteristics, process flow and site conditions.

1. Technical Assessment and Requirements Analysis

Product dimensions, weight, transport direction, line speed, cycle time, entry-exit points and site conditions are evaluated.

2. System Design

Conveyor type, line geometry, frame sections, belt-roller-chain structure, drive group, guides and automation points are determined. Technical drawings are prepared.

3. Manufacturing

Steel profiles, sheet metal, rollers, drums, shafts, bearings, chains and connection components are cut, machined and assembled according to project dimensions.

4. Surface Treatment and Inspection

Electrostatic powder coating, wet paint, galvanizing or protective coating is applied. Dimensions, welds, transmission components and installation compatibility are inspected.

5. Testing and Functional Inspection

Belt or roller movement, speed, direction, sensors, guides, stops and product passage are tested under controlled conditions.

6. Shipment, Installation and Commissioning

The system is delivered, aligned, leveled and anchored; mechanical-electrical connections and trial production are completed.

Conveyor System Modification and Capacity Increase

Existing conveyors may develop belt wear, roller and bearing failures, chain elongation, frame deformation, drive-unit problems or sensor faults. Changes in product dimensions, line speed or capacity may also require system modification.

Following a technical inspection, the following works may be carried out:

  • Belt, roller, chain and bearing replacement
  • Frame and support reinforcement
  • Line extension or shortening
  • Drive-unit modification
  • Speed and direction changes
  • Addition of side guides and stops
  • Sensor and automation integration
  • Protective-guard renewal
  • Surface-coating renewal

Material and Surface Options

Material and surface treatment are selected according to product type, load capacity, hygiene requirements and operating environment.

Carbon-Steel Profiles

Form the main supporting frame of the conveyor. Sections are selected according to load, span and line geometry.

Stainless Steel

Can be used in food, chemical, wash-down and highly corrosive applications.

Belt and Modular-Belt Options

Different belt materials can be selected according to product surface, temperature, oil, chemical and hygiene conditions.

Steel and Coated Rollers

Selected according to load capacity, product surface and noise expectations.

Electrostatic Powder Coating

Provides a durable surface suitable for indoor use and corporate colors.

Galvanizing and Industrial Coatings

Provide long-term protection in humid, outdoor or corrosive environments.

Why Nevas Çelik?
